I never get to see stars anymore, it’s hardly possible with the amount of light pollution. But tonight, after a too long day, I stood outside on my balcony and looked up. I saw Orion’s belt and Sirius and I became lost starring at the fragmented night sky. The beauty of the miniscule part of the heavens stunned me, all I could do was stare and think.

Something that I normally take for granted became suddenly so spectacular. It makes me want to be able to step back from the stresses of life for a while and relax long enough to think about what really matters in life. Should I be so concerned about my impermanent way of life? Well of course this is America after all…but I really should take some time to re-evaluate the important things of my life and relax, oh my god I need a vacation.
